The Ladies’ Hostel of DB Pampa College, funded by the UGC and the Travancore Devaswom Board, offers a safe, supportive, and culturally rooted living space that reflects the traditional ambiance of Kerala. It provides secure accommodation for fifty students, giving priority to those who require lodging facilities. The hostel is overseen by Dr. Vani S. of the Zoology Department, assisted by a dedicated caretaker, ensuring smooth functioning and round-the-clock support. With restricted entry, vigilant staff, and a nurturing environment, the hostel promotes safety, community living, and personal development, enabling young women to comfortably pursue their academic goals.
The hostel is thoughtfully structured to meet the everyday needs of its residents while fostering a sense of belonging. It comprises 20 furnished rooms spread across the ground and first floors, offering essential amenities for a comfortable stay. Common areas such as the front yard and terrace provide space for relaxation and interaction, while the mess hall, store room, and a well-equipped kitchen ensure efficient dining arrangements supported by a water purifier and filters. Clean and adequately distributed sanitary facilities, administrative areas for staff operations, and a stocked first-aid box contribute to the hostel’s well-being and convenience. Together, these facilities create a secure and homely environment for all residents.
