D.B. Pampa College was started in 1968 as a junior college. It became a first grade
college during the year 1978-79. The department of Hindi started its functioning in 1968.

Our department started its functioning with one faculty member from 1970 onwards we
had 3 sanctioned post till the academic year 82-83 and in the year 83-84 one more post was
sanctioned by MGU. As a result of de-linking Pre-degree we lost almost all the posts and at
present we have one permanent faculty member along with one guest lecturer.
Our department makes learning a pleasant experience by digital and smart classes,
enacting dramas and many other activities, social media is used for clearing doubts and power
point presentations are an added advantage.
