Department of Economics in D.B.Pampa College established in 1978 by offering BA Economics with Political Science and History as subsidiary subjects.At present we are offering BA Honours in Economics with specialization in Finance.This course is designed to ensure job opportunities to Economics graduates in different Financial institutions in public and private sector.Most of the major subjects were chosen to enable the students to get jobs easily in various sectors including education,Service,Industries,Foreign countries etc.Our minor subjects like History and politics as optionals give a wonderful opportunity to grab job opportunities in that spheres too.Another major attraction in our major course is the subject of business economics which helps the student to become a successful entrepreneur by understanding the basic knowledge that every entrepreneur should have to run a business.Moreover our major course offers job opportunities in all public and private enterprises by clearing the competitive exams in respective jobs.Our department also gives intensive coaching for various competitive exams including psc,upsc,RRBs,and other bodies.Teaching,Journalism and politics always serves as an excellent job options to majority of students who have excellent skill, aptitude and interest in interaction .Along with the mentioned job opportunities it also gives scope for higher studies including research.Absence of complexities and ease to learn things in their own perspective attracts majority of students to pick this course.Along with these peculiarities our course enables a person to develop the various skills of critical thinking, leadership,Social interaction,Social services,public speaking skills,Keen observation skills.etc.Moreover special sessions of character building offered by the experienced teachers of our department act as a motivation for goal setting and to develop
