The Jeevani Centre for Student Wellbeing is an initiative of the Department of Collegiate Education, Government of Kerala, aimed at promoting the mental health and psychosocial wellbeing of students in higher education institutions. Recognising the increasing academic pressure, emotional stress, and psychosocial challenges faced by college students, the Department of Collegiate Education has established Jeevani Centres across colleges to ensure accessible, professional, and campus-based mental health support.
The Jeevani Centre functions as a dedicated space within the college to provide preventive, promotive, and interventive mental health services, thereby supporting students’ overall development, academic engagement, and emotional resilience.
