Membership in NSS is voluntary and application for enrolment will be called for by the program officers of the unit at the beginning of the academic year. Any student enrolled as NSS volunteer should put in at least 120 hours of social work in a year for a continuous period of two years and should attend special camp for 7 days. Membership in NSS and a certificate to that effect from the University will be treated as additional qualification while making recruitments to public service and also while seeking admission for higher studies.
