The Literary and Debate Club of DB Pampa College, Parumala, is an active and vibrant student forum, nurturing a love for language, creative expression, and critical thinking. With student members from various departments, the club serves as an inclusive space where young minds can explore ideas, refine their voices, and engage meaningfully with the world of letters. Throughout the academic year, the club organizes a range of competitions that encourage students to experiment with different modes of writing and speaking. Essay writing, poetry, and short story contests are conducted often involving college and higher secondary students, providing opportunities for participants to hone their craft and receive constructive feedback. The Club has also facilitated the publication of a poetry collection by Sabari Blue, a first year BA English student. Our students have participated in prestigious national-level essay and debate competitions, representing DB Pampa College with commendable enthusiasm and skill. In addition to competitions, the Literary and Debate Club actively commemorates significant moments in the literary world such as deaths of eminent littérateurs, major literary anniversaries, and international prize announcements.
