Scholarships and Other Amenities for Students

Scholarships, Fee Concession Students Aid Funds & Awards
  • Scheduled Caste, Schedule tribe, Christian converts and other Eligible community students are eligible for full fee concession, Lump Sum Grant and Stipend. These Students are eligible for the benefit irrespective of family income and marks. They have to produce the required documents for fee concession.
  • Other backward community students whose annual family income does not exceed Rs.25000/-, of Degree course (annual scheme) are eligible for full fee concession. Such students have to submit income certificate in the prescribed form issued by the Village Officer and countersigned by the Panchayat President/Municipal Commissioner.
  • Forward community students are eligible for scholarships and fee concession subject to the minimum marks, annual family incomes, etc. The detailed information regarding the following scholarships can be obtained from the website of the Directorate of Collegiate Education.

Cash Awards and Endowments

  • The Travancore Devaswom Board has instituted awards for outstanding students in the colleges under its administration. The first three rank holders in the degree and postgraduate examinations would be given cash prizes of Rs. 10,000, Rs. 7500 and Rs. 5000 respectively.
  • Cash prizes awarded by the college PTA to the first and second toppers of all UG and PG courses in the final year examination.
  • A cash award instituted by the TDB to the top scorer of final year B.Sc. Mathematics examination.
  • Cash award sponsored by Prof. P. Sukumarapillai, HOD of Botany(Retd) to the first and second rank holders of the B.Sc. Botany final year examination.
  • Cash award in memory of Late Sri. Arackal Sadasivan Pillai to the first and second rank holders of the B.Sc. Botany final year examination (instituted by Smt. Sasikala, Retd. Professor, Dept. of Botany).
  • A cash award sponsored by Prof. R.R.C Varma (Retd. Professor, Dept. of Chemistry, D.B. Pampa College) to the top scorer of the B.Sc. Chemistry final year examination.
